NOW do you fanboys finally believe me that the 3DS was overpriced?

Lets see, Nintendo for once has a LOSS in profits and made far less than they expected to, AND the 3DS has massively slow sales:

http://www.maxconsole.net/content.php?46133-Nintendo-sees-quarterly-loss-on-3DS-slow-sales

And now they aren't just giving it a pricecut, but a massive one as well:

http://www.qj.net/nintendo-3ds/news/huge-3ds-price-cut-this-august.html

NOW do you guys finally believe me that the 3DS was overpriced and that the Vita being priced at $250 did in fact hurt Nintendo a lot? The second the Vita's price was announced at E3 I and many others said the 3DS won't survive at $250.

I am just pissed I paid $250 for it, I wonder if Nintendo will do anything for the people who paid full price, I know Nintendo is not Apple, but I'm just saying that when the iPhone got a pricecut just a few months after launch Apple refunded everyone who had paid full price. Not expecting a check in the mail, but at least something to make up for it would be nice. I mean, think about it, a lot of people did complain that the 3DS was too expensive, and they aren't going to be happy that they paid nearly twice as much as everyone else is going to a mere FOUR months after launch, especially with it's crappy launch lineup.

The price drop proves that

3DS is overpriced
Nintendo is wrong at pricing 3DS initially
Somewhat threatened by Vita?

But early adopters can still get 20 free games (NES/GBA) but it's so niche, everybody won't be able to enjoy it (like me)

Aren't they still making a profit off of the 3DS?

IIRC it only cost them $101 to make it.

We get old games, many of which I wouldn't have bought if they were on the e-shop. I'd rather they took the time to update the e-shop and all online features of the 3DS, and gave everyone that to be honest, with maybe a free minigame thing to show off the improved online functionality. Something like that Wii U game where you run and hide from each other or whatever, that'd be nice.

.... Hmm, glad they are doing something then, but I'm not really too pleased about that to be honest. I have a GBA and NES, and had pretty much all the good games for them. >.<

Almost seems like a "Eh, we will give them something that is practically free for us to give away anyway" kinda thing, would have been far better if they gave like, two free 3DS games or something. Or just gave us credit on the e-shop so we can buy whatever we want on there.

The thing is, those who thought it was overpriced but bought it anyway also believed the price wouldn't go down for a while. Probably the customers most shafted by this whole thing.
