that you paid 249.99 for a system with no games and now its going to be 169.99 and all we get is 20 free downloadable games from the Nintendo eShop... is there even 5 Nintendo eshop games worth playing? it's like they said here early adopters have this bag of poo but it's not 5 or 10 pieces of poo its 20 and were suppose to eat it up

The free games are 20 new games, not games already in the store....

Actually, it's:

10 NES Games
10 GBA Games

And as many before me have said, thus far pretty much all of the games are GOOD games. They could have given out crappy games, but all of these are of high quality.

The 10 announced GBA and NES titles available so far are all to my liking, especially the original LoZ and Metroid Fusion. No, I don't feel ripped off.

You're an early adopter. What did you expect? For the price to go UP?
#7SakurafanboyPosted 7/28/2011 10:23:35 AM
Nope. The games will be amazing. Besides we get them for FREE. And also note we have Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 coming this year also (and apparently also Kid Icarus: Uprising). So the 3DS is a fine purchase imo.

YOU

paid $249.99

YOU

YOU

YOU

Don't like being an early adopter? DON'T BE AN EARLY ADOPTER. My brand new $170 3DS w/ 20 free games incoming is the result of me looking at the current offerings and saying "I CAN WAIT", as I did with my PS3, DS, PSP, GC, PS2... hell, the only system I can say for sure I bought at launch was my Wii.

Nintendo owed us nothing and decided to give out the games anyway. More to the point, they owed YOU nothing, because they set a price, you agreed to it, transaction over. If you feel ripped off, you ripped yourself off.

Not really. If you put the value for each game at 5$ you get 100$ of free stuff. That's 20$ more than the price drop.

Well, I payed 260 for the 3DS and Street Fighter at launch. I don't even like Street Fighter but I was desparate and stupid, not that it's a bad game mind you but it's just not my thing.

A month later, it was 150 for the 3DS and Street Fighter was also cheaper... Then the eStore finally launched and guess what, I was welcomed with overpriced iPhone apps and Gameboy ROMs.
