I love seeing this aggressive side of Nintendo.

I don't care about the money I spent as an early adopter. I care far more that we see a good software library. And I tell ya, I love seeing this aggressive stance by Nintendo. They are doing what needs to be done. It's the price point needed against the Vita. It's gonna spur sales. And it lets me know that Nintendo isn't just gonna sit by and watch their market share dwindle without a fight !!!!!!!! Let's get ready to rumble !!!!!!!!!!

And as you can see in this board, the haters and lovers are already rumbling.

Sony: So, Vita will coast $250, the price of the 3DS. And we're even selling at loss. u mad ninento ? :trollface:

Nintendo: So, 3DS is now $170, the price of the DSi. And we're NOT selling at loss. Also, free NES and GBA games for everyone. u mad sonni ? :trollface:

What else other than lover? I like Nintendo's stance in making games and Nintendo has the god of gaming, Miyamoto, on their side.

Now, if they could only get Capcom to get off their azzes and give us some DLC for SSFIV3D and REMercs 3D, cause right now both games are SCREAMING for it, and it could ease some of that pain from the MML3 cancellation as well! Be a great way for us to get through the August drought.

UPDATE 3-Nintendo sees lowest profit in 27 yrs, slashes 3DS price

* Slashes full-year op profit forecast to 35 bln yen, 27 year-low

* Books Q1 operating loss of 37.7 bln yen, records first quarterly loss

* Cuts retail price for 3DS handheld player in Japan, U.S.

* Shares down about 30 pct over past 3 months

I'm sure Sony is livid. Or not.

The price drop is pretty much a win/win for everyone. I'm definitely on the lover side. *hugs 3DS*

Doesn't the 3DS take just over $100 to produce or something? I'm pretty sure they're still selling for a profit.
