First Mario Kart now Super Mario? (Stupid Names)

#1Yellowstone2012Posted 7/28/2011 4:51:36 PM
So Nintendo decided to name Mario Kart to "Mario Kart 7" and Super Mario 3D to "Super Mario 3D Land"?

The names were just fine with "Mario Kart 3DS" and "Super Mario 3D". The Mario Kart 7 name will be confusing to people "where's Mario Karts 1-6?"....

I'm not into Nintendo portable gaming, but I do hope Nintendo changes the names.

Mario Kart 7 sounds like an even worse placeholder name, and Super Mario 3D Land just seems off in English.

Mario Karts 1 - 6 were released on the SNES, N64, GBA, GameCube, DS and Wii respectively, and are called Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii.

Should've just made it "Super Mario's 3D Land"

Rather have bad names with excellent gameplay than great names and bad gameplay.

Super Mario Land 3D definitely would've sounded cooler than "Super Mario 3D Land"
As for "Mario Kart 7"... That HAS to to be a place holder name. Giving it a number now would be downright confusing for over thinkers...
