Bad Karma For Nintendo??

They dissed Sony when it came to partnering for a CD-based attachment for the SNES, they never released Mother 3 to the US market, they broke ties with RARE (makers of Banjo Kazzoie, Jet Force Gemini, & Killer Insticnt), they refuse to release those three games for the Wii (LAst Story being one of them), they only released the N3DS in two colors, and they did not show enough of the Wii U during 2011 E3.

Maybe KArma is coming back to them?

Humans are Humans, if they see their own ideas as the best, they'll be stubborn to accept other ideas, like how Shigeru wanted Yoshi's Island to have the graphics simular to Donkey Kong Country, but others wanted it crayon style instead, the latter felt alright.

The DKC graphic method was what caused the Yoshi series to hit the fan slightly with debatable games (starting with Yoshi's Story) where most people compared it to Yoshi's Island, to the extent that Nintendo changes the title of the game in development to avoid using the word 'Island' or to avoid connecting it as a sequel on the box.

YS was sort of meh, but it was bad because it used a different formula in gameplay and turned it into some circle stage where you ate fruit, Topsy Turvy didn't really make much sence but the gyroscopes was a neat little mechanic....Yoshi's Island DS is pretty much Ninendo Hard and problematic, switching babies to collect stuff and clearing stages was a hassle. :X

Think Nintendo can learn a lesson about buying companies, they need at least 51% or more...dunno why they bought 49%, maybe they sold off their 49% to microsoft because they thought they wouldn't do well as console developers and underestimated the Xbox, or maybe the departure of various members of Rare made the investment shaky and tried to sell their bit off for cash?

Buisness is weird, dunno why Rare couldn't be an independent developer or something.

The videogame industry has, since day 1, almost had a curse on it. Anytime a manufactor does well and rides lighting (Atari 1x, Nintendo 2x, Sony 2x, Nintendo 1x) they all tend to start making really bad decisions, not just 1 or 2, but several of them in a row.

Ofcourse who believes in curses in this day and age? These companies simply get too ambitious and too greedy, instead of playing it safe they try hard to push more things and eventually lose focus.

The only positive out of this is that they might learn from it, like Sony did from PS3 and apply it to the WiiU.

Who knows what the WiiU would have launched for had a 250 3DS been a huge success, but now they have to probably rethink their pricing.

They didnt break ties with Rare. Rare was bought out .

Also, the 3DS was just launched in March. Dont know if you notice but that's how it always is when new systems get launched. Usually only 2 colors are available.

Who cares about 3 games. They wont make a difference.
