Question about the Ambassador thing

#1RichterB17Posted 7/29/2011 2:14:31 PM
Let's say I'm an Ambassador now, what if my 3DS breaks and I get a replacement after August 12. Am I not an Ambassador anymore? If I do the memory transfer when I get the replacement can I still be an Ambassador? If I sign into my Nintendo account on the e-shop will I still be an Ambassador?

Unless Nintendo makes a backup plan for the Ambassador program you will NOT still be an ambassador, you will lose that privilege in it's entirety.

If you send it to Nintendo to be fixed you should be fine

Gyarados raises a good point though.

If the time comes and you need to replace the system, you'll have to do it either via sending it into Nintendo or a System Transfer (which as of now, doesn't work for 3DS => 3DS). Otherwise you're back to a new user.

If your old system is still functioning even a little your files would be transferred. And if not, Nintendo would probably still recognize you as being an Ambassador (as long as you're still under warranty).

Hmm sounds like sending it to Nintendo is the way to go.
