Hi, I'm an aussie, and in the land down under, the 3ds sells for $350 average. Couple of places I can get it for 300, but I know it's 250 average in the US. I know the price drop is coming soon, but I doubt it'll drop below even $250 here thanks to our shoddy gaming market, so my question is:
If I bought a 3ds from America or the UK or whatever, would that mean I'd have to buy any and all games from that region as well? And would I be able to play online here?

Yes. Region locking means a 3DS will only play games from a specific region, regardless of your actual location.
Online games should work. But some stuff, like Nintendo Video, won't. --- Sent from my 3DS Now playing: Atelier Iris 3, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
