Should I buy a 3ds or wait for a newer model?

Buy it when the price drop hits. You won't see a newer model until a minimum of 1.5 years from now.

If you want to wait 1-2 years then wait. Otherwise get it now for 250 for the 20 free games, or after aug 12 to get it for 170.

There won't be a price drop for awhile... But I am afraid of a new version with a much better battery life coming out. I am also alil worried about how DS games look on the 3DS. Because I am really not interested in any of the 3DS games out and I will probably just buy DS games on it.

Can somebody tell me how they look? I heard some people say they are too blurry or the non blurry aspect ratios are way too small.

If you do not have a DS Lite/DSi/XL right next to it with the same game on, you can barely tell the difference. Hell most games you don't even notice anything other than it being a little brighter/washed out. Most people who complain are really really OCD or just like to complain about every little thing.

My plan is to wait for a bundle with a good game, or get a Vita. Whichever seems like has a brighter future at the time.

I'm going to try to wait for a possible release of the Flare Red 3DS in NA before I buy one.

I'd buy your brother one too Falcanine, as in me. You'll get enough money with the work...eventually. You already have enough for one when the price drops.
