One of the main reasons I've held off on a 3DS is, besides the obvious lack of software, is the poor battery life.

I've read a few Joystiq posts about various battery packs, but are they alright? Like, I don't want a superman battery, I just want one that'll get me, I dunno, 12 hours of 3D play?

Just made that number up, but whatever.

Also, are there any other... oddities I should worry about with the 3DS? I pledged previously to wait for the Lite, but $170 is a pretty great price.

If any batteries get even 6+ hours with 3D and wifi on, I wanna know. 12hrs... yeah that would almost be overkill for me. LOL

Haha, what was the DS Lite's battery life?

I own two and a phat, and I feel like the Lite's was perfect for me.
