can you delete the resident evil the mercenaries save?

I heard that you cant delete the save file but I heard online that there is a patch that fixes that. Is the patch released or is that just a wishful rumor about being able to delete the save file?

As far as I know, there's no way to delete a Mercenaries 3D save file. Sorry.

Can't. The game has a back up save that replaces the main one if it gets corrupted.

It's no different from a majority of saves dating back to N64 and probably even further.
Redundant hash/checksum protected saves is simply the easiest option available for parity.

Why does it matter? It's a score based game. It isn't like there's unlocked content that you can't delete.
