This happens when you launch a Handheld without a "System Seller" game

Pretty strange for Nintendo to do this with all the experience they have in the market...

The Wii had Zelda TP, the GC had SSBM, the REmake and Luigi´s Mansion, the N64 had Mario 64 and SSB, the PS2 had FFX and Tekken Tag, the Xbox had DoA, etc...

The 3DS had... nothing at all... nothing at all.. NOTHING AT ALL! when it was released.

And look at this now it have these ONLY worthy games:

-SSFIV 3D
-DoA: Dimensions
-RE: Mercenaries 3D
-Samurai Warriors
-TLoZ: OoT 3D

and that´s it.

This would had NEVR happened if Nintendo had a Super Smash Bros, a Zelda (a true one and not a N64 ROM with barely any new textures), Mario etc etc.. tittle bound to the launch of the system.

So yes mistakes are paid at high prices strangers... hope Nintendo learn the lesson.

^this. but ghost recon is fantastic. Best game on the 3ds IMO

It's like fire emblem with guns.
I don't know why it's so overlooked

Because Nintendo platforms are suicide for 3rd parties. Even given alternatives the Nintendo fan will almost always only think in terms of 1st party, thus why Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, and Kirby sell like hot cakes but nothing else does. It's a shame, but it tends to be the norm.

If I were stuck on an island with Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Modern Warfare 2, I would play Super Mario Galaxy 2 first. People who agree: 224

Not true.

360 = Halo 3, DoA 4, Oblivion
PS3 = MGS4
Wii = Zelda TP, Wii Sports + Motion Controls
Xbox = DoA3, Halo
GC = SSBM, Luigi´s Mansion, Resident Evil Remake
PS2 = FFX, Tekken Tag
Dreamcast = DoA2, Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, MvsC2
N64 = SSB, Mario 64
PSX = Had too much jewels to even count at launch
NDS = Zelda Phantom Hourglass

So yes pretty much the 3DS had no launch tittles that pushed the system sells, even the Virtual Boy was sold with mario tennis

More than 75% of that list were games released later in the system's life cycle.

Halo 3? SSBM? MGS4? FFX? SSB? and Zelda PH were not lauch titles. The closest was SSBM and even that was after launch.

360 = Halo 3, DoA 4, Oblivion - NONE of these games came out at launch. Halo 3 came out in 2007, 360 released in 2005. DOA 4 was not a launch title, though it came out a month or so after. Oblivion released in 2006.

PS3 = MGS4 - completely wrong, MGS came out in 2008. Resistance was a good enough launch title though I suppose.

Wii = Zelda TP, Wii Sports + Motion Controls - correct, even though TP was a game with GC graphics.

Xbox = DoA3, Halo - correct

GC = SSBM, Luigi´s Mansion, Resident Evil Remake - SSBM sort of counts, it came out a couple weeks after the cube launched, but REmake did not come out til spring 2002

PS2 = FFX, Tekken Tag - FFX came out in december 2001 in the U.S, PS2 came out october 2000

Dreamcast = DoA2, Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, MvsC2 - only correct game here is SA1
N64 = SSB, Mario 64 - SSB came out in 1999

PSX = Had too much jewels to even count at launch

NDS = Zelda Phantom Hourglass - 2007

MVC3 - Magneto, Amaterasu, Chris.
