Excitebike is ok, not my favourite title, but it was free for me and my boy... I'd be very disappointed if I paid $7 for it though.

It probably be like the web browser.

free-500-free(get 500 back).

I had it free but had to send in my Wii but lost all downloads and got equivalence in credits but it didn't include an extra 500 for the browser since I got it for free and forgot to mention about it. My problem with this is my Miis aren't mine anymore and I wanted to keep that Metroid Prime 3 thing they had.

Nintendo should pay everybody who had the displeasure of playing it.

It was an ok game. I definitely wouldn't pay $6 for it, but maybe $3.

Why is it free forever, for some people, but not others?

Its free for those who downloaded it before July 7th but if you paid money for it you only pay once.

Lets put it this way you buy a game you play it then decide you don't want it in your system anymore so you take it and put it away somewhere will it cost you money to later to go find where you put it? No.

It should stay free in my opinion.

Of course it should. Gamers like to mock smartphones for having crappy games, but smartphone games are infinitely superior to junk like Excitebike.

When I downloaded excite bike, it said I would have the game for free for 30 days. I downloaded it before July 7th. You guys are now saying that nintendo is giving it away free instead of a trial. Why the change?

No, it was free to download for 30 days. It costs 6 bucks now.
It wasn't a trial: you could download the full game for free in the first 30 days of the e-shop being online. It is now yours forever.
