Do you think 3D COULD improve 3DS Gameplay? Like a "Hide-and-Seek" sort of game?

80/80

I ask this because of a YouTube video I saw a while ago. I brought it up in a few topics before, but now that I found the video again, i want the opinion of the GameFAQs 3DS community since we've grown as a family so much within the past few months.

The video I'm referring to is this:

I mistook it for 3DSware before, but found out it's just DSiWare (for obvious reasons) and wanted to know what you guys thought.

I see a lot of potential for 3D being used to improve Gameplay (Which I see debated a lot recently- hence this topic) and overall appeal. I recall a topic by PhantomSword about a game using 3D sound and taking advantage of all sorts of features the 3DS has, and I got to thinking about the untapped potential for this system most are throwing aside already.

So what are all of your thoughts?

It would make judging distance in 3D platformers and dogfight games much easier.

Was hoping for a little more discussion.

I'd love to see them use it to it's fullest potential, yeah. Combine the 3D with the gyroscope and you got something going. Tilt the screen to peek around the 3D corners or over the 3D ledges. Stealth based games like the (sadly cancelled) Assassin's Creed could do wonders with it.

For games like that it wouldn't make much of a difference... I really don't think it would make a difference for any game really.

Looking at the title - I was hoping for a suggestion to a point & click adventure / visual novel type game where you hold your 3DS like a book - while the gyroscope in combination with the camera (and eye/face recognition) determines from what angle you are viewing the screen - hiding an object within the other viewing angle.

I like this idea. Unique, creative. Only problem I see is if the lighting is poor, it wouldn't recognise your face, and could possibly give a messed up viewing angle.
