Upgrading SD card... are files transferrable?

I am interested in upgrading the stock 2GB SD with an 8GB, but I have been using the smaller card for some time. Is there any way to transfer the current data from one card to another?

Yeah, just cut and paste the files using your computer. The 3DS recognizes the files on the SD card, not the SD card itself.

Move files to your computer and then to your SD card

Yeah.. as long as you arent changing systems at the same time you just need to copy the files from your old SD card to the new one then put it into your system (just wish the 64 GB cards worked with the 3DS)

edit: almost forgot.... just dont mess with the files in the main folder and it'll work but music files and picture files can be added to the card
