Nintendo 3DS

placed it on kitchen counter while I plugged in the charger, and before I could grab the 3DS my 7-year-old nephew was chasing my dog through the kitchen, his arms were stretched out like an airplane, HIT my 3DS, I watched as it flew off the counter and across the dining room table, hit the chair, and fell to the tile floor.

The 3DS was OPEN when I placed it on the counter. So the screen was exposed, and now it has a HUGE split crack in the main screen. The 3D effect is not working and the contrast is all off.

Considering it was an honest accident and I still have my receipt, what are my options?

How about stop coming up with ridiculous stories?

This wasnt a faulty system. Not sure they will take it back. It's your own fault, but give it a try. My guess is when you break a device like that, the company that made it is not responsible.
