Cautionary note on deleting accounts
If you delete your account on Nintendo eShop, you will lose your rights to the Ambassador Programme. Please exercise caution when managing your account.

what does it mean? i cannot unlink my club nintendo account for a while?

Your eShop account. You can't delete it from the eShop anyway, so don't worry.

youll delete the account if you format your systems Memory, so just... dont format your memory, its not something you should be doing anyway =P

There's a separate function in the eShop for deleting the eShop.

I've formatted a 3DS, and even though it was formatted and the eShop did the "welcome!" business, when I checked the settings, it was still linked to the original owner's Club Nintendo account, and I was able to redownload Excitebike a day or two ago.

I didn't get the system until after 7-7, and I reformatted it multiple times before trying to download Excitebike.
