You hold down the B and A buttons and then press Start to save and Quit.

When you say you "can't save", do you mean the in-game save or the save state feature? And do you have enough space on your SD card? (Much as I'd be shocked if you didn't at this point.)

You can press y instead of select, it's easier. A+B+Y+Start

Restore points are disabled by default in Link's Awakening and other games that support battery saves. It's disabled because accidentally loading a restore point will cause the battery save to revert to that older state, potentially losing a lot of progress. Check the manual for explanation as well as instructions on how to re-enable it.

To save just press all buttons at once. I'm just a kid, how am I supposed to know what that means?

Really? Mine was enabled when I first started playing.

But yeah, push all the buttons at the same time that would be on the original Game Boy (A+B+Start+Select). It's kinda hard to find the Start and Select buttons, at least where to press, them, since they're not really buttons.

Restore points are disabled?

Weird, since I used them all the way through a play through of the game.

Unless you're not talking about save states, or something.

That's not what I meant.

And yeah, they're disabled by default in games that have their own save system. The first time you go into the Virtual Console menu it asks if you understand restore points and want to enable them. If you miss that one chance, you have to enable them with a specific key combination that I don't recall.
