Lol, that sounds like they're deliberately trying to market it as a new redesign.

How can retailers be so uninformed? I had to tell an employee at a local game store that the 3DS doesn't require 3D glasses, and he didn't believe me at first. Are they expecting these people to sell their products?

Play games, not systems. There are people who like games that you don't, grow up.

Because they're marketing in a way that makes it out to be a a finicky(which it is).

Because Nintendo has done a s*** job of marketing it as a successor to the DS. Alot of people think it's just a redesign like the DS Lite or DSi or DSi XL. Hell I follow gaming news alot and for a while i had thought it was just another DSi but with a 3D option.

About $80

It's not just them. This is how pretty much every average consumer views this. It looks like their DS, shares many of the same features, and even has DS in the name.

Blame Nintendo for not creating something entirely different 7 years after the DS came out. >_>

Well...the DSi XL is still $170 the same price as a 3DS now. And the regular DSi is now $150.

The worst part is that you can't even play DS games in 3D. We should email Nintendo and/or Best Buy to have them set this straight. I'm sure this is hurting sales.
