I know alot of people recommend Hori brand name and I was thinking of buying one myself, but what about the "Nintendo Official Screen Protectors" how effective is that one?

Idk haven't tried those, but the ones from gamestop are pretty good. They tear after a few uses, but they are ok

Can screen protectors really differ from one another too much?

Something seems... odd about that statement.

BTW: I hated the Hori ones, and I completely regret buying and putting them on.

So, the gamestop ones tear after few uses, huh? Well, that doesn't sound good now is it...? xD

I never buy screen protector before unless they are fragile, so yeah, I might go with Hori brand name then.

@nintendogger: Why do you hate that brand?

These topics really piss me off. Something like the Invisible Shield does differ. Costs much more and is much more heavy duty.

Generally, no, no they do not differ much at all. Some claim to have a glare resistant surface or other crap like that but that's all garbage. The only thing you have to do is make sure it says on the package somewhere that it does not leave any sticky residue. As long as it doesn't leave any residue, then it's all good. I have a crappy $4 PSP screen protector on my 3DS and it looks, feels, and appears to work perfectly fine. It's just a piece of plastic you put over the screen.
