Yes, what the above poster said. I believe it double its size 2-3 times before reaching the maximum. You shouldn't have to worry there, unless u buy literally everything available on the e-shop

Actually with formatting, a 2GB SD card has about 1800MB(plus or minus a few MB; it really depends on the format type) available for storage.
