3D classics WTF?

Not trying to defend anything. I haven't downloaded any of these games because they don't look that special to me. But it's a fact that these are classics over there and many have played and enjoyed them.

If it's a fact, why have you not provided evidence of even a single person in Japan considering Urban Champion a "classic"?

Xevious 3D is very underrated.

Watch some Japanese centered game shows and you'll see for yourself. There's too many to list. You could just watch Gamecenter CX and find that out.

Did they mention this game before it was announced as a 3D classic though? Urban Champion's got a lot of coverage in the West since its announcement, but that doesn't make it a classic.

I thought it was popular briefly in Japan, but had no kind of legacy. That's not classic if you ask me.

While I'm unsure whether there's really any point in arguing about whether a game is or is not a "classic", I suspect that if we'd had a poll on this board 6 months ago and took a list of what games people wanted to be released as 3D Classics, and added up the results, not one of the games actually released so far would be in the top 100, and probably some of them wouldn't even have been on the list.

Oh yeah. This was a few years ago actually.
