Okay...why is this happening?

On 3DS in the options, I set up a new connection(because we made a new connection from a new service and stuff). The 3DS connection seems to connect to this connection fine. But the DS connection is a problem, I kept getting 51300. My connection type is WEP 128, so it should work for DS. But this error keeps coming up!

Is it because my router is wireless-N?

I don't think so. I have a Wireless-N router and my DS and 3DS all work fine on it (including DS connection on my 3DS).

I'm really unsure what your problem could be. I would double check everything and if you still can't, give Nintendo a call tomorrow. Oh, and if you have a normal DS (DS, DSLite, DSi/XL), I would try seeing if one of those can connect or if it's just your 3DS.

I'm looking over their support online pages but without knowing all your stuff it's hard for me personally to pinpoint what could be wrong.

One more page I can offer:

there are 2 setting in your 3ds for network settings. One set for for just the 3ds and it's game and the other is for ds games only. You probibly still need to set up those ds settings even though you would be setting them the same.
Under system settings pick internet settings then pick Nintendo ds connections, at that point you'll get a screen that looks like it did on the ds and dsi. Put in the settings you would use and then test them and then save them if they worked.
Make sure your ssid is correct. That includes the upper and lower case letters also being correct, it matters.
Make sure that wep number is correct, can't tell you how many times i think i've put those in only to figure out i put it in close but not right.

Oh that's a good point playsaver. I assumed TC had already tried the separate DS settings but maybe not.

I tried the separate DS settings. It won't connect. I get 51300. 3DS settings test is fine.
