Leaving top screen at 90 degrees bad for hinge?

Is it bad to leave the lid of the 3ds half open for an extended period of time? Will this make my hinges more wobbly in the long run? This could be great to watch Netflix while in bed but the only way to set it up just right is to leave the screen at 90 degrees. I only ask because I don't know exactly how the hinge system works, if it puts extra stress on it when it is isnt locked in place?

Your 3DS hinge will be fine, its made not to break.

Ill just say if you bent my 3DS' neck that far, i would have to escort you all the way to Timbuktu, where nobody will have to deal with your 3DS neck breaking anymore.

Though seriously i don't see a problem with it, you'll never know though. When your hinge breaks please post about it, so people know how to "fix" it...

edit: K, i read the post wrong somehow, but my statement still stands. 90* is not a bad thing, but 180* IS !!

I don't know but I would advise against it.I don't think the screen was meant to be placed at 90 degrees because it doesn't lock at that position, and your hinge might get loose faster as a result.
