Akira made this game playable. Wow.

Luckily, Akira realized people probably don't wanna play this all the time, so even if you lose (I always get beat in the late 50s rounds), you keep your title.

Yay, I'm an Urban Champion too!

...But now what?

I got stuck around level 52. Up until then, I was getting by with power punches and no dodging.

I dunno, you get the ranking and the game just keeps going, lol. I might do some more rounds and see if anything else happens.

Time to break out the Atari 2600 and play some E.T. THEN you'll be a true Urban Champion.

The Gamecube was totally underrated.

So this version is a big improvement and actually worth playing?

The gameplay is identical, so it's still dull, shallow, and mindless punching. But you actually see progression. The title rankings give you a reason to say, "Well, maybe just one more round."

And the camera angle makes the game look a lot more appealing than it ever has.

I chose to download this just because I never had the opportunity to play it back in the NES days. Since it was one of the first "fighters" I felt I should at least give it a try. I still haven't had the opportunity to play though.
