are people seriously believing the "second analog stick" rumor?

In which case, they should just sell a left-handed version.

The SD3!

Available at Ned Flanders' Leftorium and finer southpaw stores everywhere.

No, there is a third way it could work:

There is a second analog stick, but from the system's perspective, both sticks are exactly the same. You cannot use both sticks at the same time.

Ie, the second stick exists purely to facilitate left-handed gamers.

So they release a new version of a system that would probably confuse the heck out of everybody else to appease 10% of the population? Doubt it.

Unfortunately they were later sued by Square Enix and had to pull it out of production.

Better than pissing off 99% of the population.

"Not enough left handers to really care about that. Or at least most of them already should have gotten used to the right hand way, since no one else cared about them before."

What are you talking about? How is stick + touch screen controls easy for us lefties? Try playing Metroid Prime Hunters with touch screen controls set to lefty switch and tell me how easy that is. The traditional games aren't the ones we're "suddenly" complaining about. It's the ones like Kid Icarus that ignore a big portion of the population or at the very least cripple us by forcing us to play with ABXY controls (which is still unconfirmed. We may just be screwed).

I would totally buy a lefty 3DS with 2 sticks.

It's like when rumors were going around that the new wii will have a tablet like controller.

or

the rumor when Nintendo was making a smaller, lighter, better DS system.

Wasn't a rumor, it was announced.

Whooooooooooosh. :b

It didn't have time to be rumored. It was announced, and that was it. This is clearly not the same situation.

No offense, but how are you missing all the sarcasm here? >_>

Nate was clearly being sarcastic...

And you can tell this how?
