Perhaps the "announcement" will be Youtube support

I would love to have 3d youtube videos on here, it would actually make something almost exclusive to the 3ds since almost no one has a 3d computer/hooks up to a 3d tv and 3d glasses are.... well not so convenient.

I'd actually just watch 3DS game trailers from the Youtube app instead of in the eShop if it was of good quality. Most of the ones in the eShop are horribly compressed.

It wouldn't be in 3D.

Why?

Because they would have to make all videos magically in 3D? Maybe a few videos MADE for the 3DS but is that really worth it?

YouTube already has 3D videos.

For red/blue glasses or the type of 3D at the movies in which you need special computer screens.

All 3D content can't be played on all 3D devices in 3D since they sometimes use completely different systems.

Why? A laggy, low resolution version of it? It wouldn't be in 3D.

That's the same as 3DS Netflix.. //

In case you didn't already know, Youtube's 3D support allows you to change the 3D method (coloured lenses, shutter glasses, cross-eye, etc.) on the fly. I doubt it would be too hard to add autostereoscopic support when there are already so many options.

Youtube's 3d is automatic. Users simply upload a left eye video and a right eye video and YT does the rest. To make support for the 3ds all YT would have to do is add a specific mode for the 3ds (which they would have to make an app anyway).

I really hope it's a lot better than "Youtube support." I can already watch Youtube videos on the 3 computers in my house, my iPod Touch, my iPhone, and PS3. I really don't need another device to watch Youtube on.

YES!!! I hope so!!! YouTube is almost on every phone, and even heading to console (PS3). Why not put it on handhelds? And, does it matter if the videos have 3D? Look at Netflix, that has no 3D but we're ok with it. Even if they add 3D movies, they're sure to add 3D videos for YouTube, it's just gonna take a slow.. slow... slooooooowwwww progress.
