You have been randomly selected to participate in the Beta Test of our new message list page. We've rolled out this test in order to get additional feedback and error reports from a wider subset of users. We'll only display this notice once, but permanent links to disable the Beta, provide feedback, and get more information will be located at the bottom of each message list.

To disable this test for now, click here. For more information, please read our announcement about this redesign.

My thumbnail never even comes close to the pad.
I don't even see how that's possible, unless you purposefully do it.

Do you guys play with the tips of your fingers, instead of the padded parts or something?

The part where your fingerprints are is what you're supposed to be using. The nails are on the opposite side of your finger.

I see a lot of back peddling here, but if you were to look into it you'd see it's not that uncommon. There's even pictures out there to demonstrate.

Very small, nigh unnoticeable ones. There used to be a bigger one, but it flattened out and is now much smaller.

To be fair, my fingers are quite long, sometimes I'll have to stop myself trying to get a purchase on the thumbstick with the top of my thumb, especially when im using the L-button. No scratches though.

This only really happens with Rayman and Zelda. Games where I'm holding forwards for long periods. Out of interst, people with marks, what's your most played game?

I do. I scratched mine on purpose a few times. It doesn't really bother me since it still feels as smooth as it did before. (And frankly, the thing wasn't exactly a work of art to start with, so I don't mind if it looks less than perfect.)

Just one, and I don't know now. Mine are always so short! Luckily it's a very shallow mark, so you have to be looking for it to see it.
