What if they weren't a "do it once and walk away" type company? Where are more AR games?

Funny, I just dug out my eReader the other day because my kid was asking me about Balloon Fight.

Looking at some images of the e-reader cards....I don't think that the 3DS's cameras have the resolution needed to actually capture the detail of the code on the cards. I guess it's possible that it could be made to recognise the pictures on the cards, but since that'd be a bit complex I'm not sure that Nintendo will ever think it's a worthwhile idea.

I'd like to see them modify GBA's super mario 3, to use the 3ds to view that cards the game used, to give that game the items the cards gave. (knowing nintendo you have to have one 3ds act as the games gameboy and another 3ds to act as the e-reader modified to use a picture of the card.)
It would be nice for them to just have a web page with picture of those cards for people that never had them. It would be pointless to try to sell them again when someone else would just post them somewhere. (this system would be going by the picture on the card rather then the little dots on the card that the 3ds probibly couldn't read good enough.)
