Since there is no real difference between DS and 3DS version of Harvest Moon...

Which version are you getting? $30 and earlier for the DS or later at $40 for the 3DS version?

I personally don't think the graphics will be that much different if the game is using the same engine/code for both systems, so I'll probably just grab it early for the DS.

What's Different in the 3DS Version?
You're no doubt wondering whether it would be more fruitful to wait for the 3DS version of Tale of Two Towns, which launches sometime after the DS version. Well, the two games are actually almost identical to each other, outside of a couple of differences.

The 3DS version, for example, is displayed in 3D and has better graphics. "The graphics for the 3DS version have been redone to take advantage of the 3DS' higher resolution and expanded color palette," he said. "The game has a fun, great-looking papercraft effect to it that really stands out from the other 3D titles out there." The game also utilizes the system's Street Pass function to let players trade items.

If I'm going to buy it, I'm getting the 3DS version.

I'd get the DS version cause the 3DS is region locked and Harvest Moon games take forever to come out in Europe

$10 more is too much for some better graphics and a minor streetpass feature. The DS should be $35 and the 3DS version should be $40 or the DS version should be $30 and the 3DS version should be $35. Heck, there should have only been a 3DS version. Way to join to bandwagon of developers milking their series Natsume.

That's besides the point. If you don't put your foot down on pricing SOMEWHERE then the prices will just go up and up.

It's sad that this is another remake/enhancededition/port..... 3DS already has too many as it is...

I don't see where that quote said that those are the only differences. Not to mention the source's credibility. Don't be like the rumor people assuming things.

Megaman Star Force/Battle Network had tons of differences between versions and they're the same game.
