C/D: Retro games are better to play on a handheld

I admit it's awkward to play older games (NES-SNES era) on my HDTV, but on the 3DS it feels perfectly normal. Anyone else feel the same?

C. I can't explain why it feels so right. Also, I've been handing out my 3DS to friends because they want to play SMB.

All games are better to play on a handheld. Just my opinion.

But no Retro Studios games are on a handheld yet.

Mario Kart 7 will be the first.

Seriously though, ALL games are better portable.
Second Chances sure are great. It's nice to be back, GameFAQs.

I'd say it's better to play on a smaller screen, rather than specifically on a handheld.

All the way C for me.
Handheld gives it more appeal. I mean, I can take it anywhere, unlike a TV/PC.

It seems like I'm more compelled to play a longer/difficult classic game if I can whenever I want.

Retro games have that "pick up and play" aspect which makes them perfect for portability.

So you would rather play games like Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Dark Souls and Battlefield 3 on a handheld? Bollocks.

Confirm because it's more mobile and the visuals suit the smaller screen.

I agree, I still have my faux-wood boob tube because my NES/sms/genesis/snes/2600/7800 look best on it. They look strange on an HDTV.
Two things I hate:
1- a modern gamer who inherently hates retro games. 2-A generation NES player with a superiority complexs who claims superiority over him.
