Zelda save method not working?

#1DarkECOJakPosted 9/1/2011 7:43:46 AM
I heard you are supposed to hold L+R then press Y to switch to controller 2, then press Up+A to bring up the save menu. I can switch to the second controller with no problem, but no menu pops up for me. Is there a certain method in which Up+A needs to be pessed? As a kid I never used this way to save, I just would always wait til I died.

1 - Pause the game
2 - Switch to player 2
3 - Hold Up, Press A
4 - Switch back to player 1
5 - Save the game.

This is the correct method.
I'm guessing everyone saying it doesn't work weren't in the item menu when they switched to player 2.

Can't blame you. Barely 1 minute difference between the creation of both topics.

Oooh I see what I was doing wrong. You had said "pause" so I got confused. The item menu and pause are two completely different things. Y or Select pauses the game, while Start brings up the item menu.

Well, sorry about that, then. Not really used to use the Select button.
