Zelda 2 not saving?

#1ONI GerbilPosted 9/1/2011 7:44:21 AM
So I read the manual and it says to switch to player 2 controls. I did. Then it says press Up and A at the same time. I did. However, the save menu did not appear (and if it did, you switch back to P1 controls to access it and save your file).

Anyone else having this problem? I mean, I'd rather not go and die just to save the game lol #irony

I think you need to pause first on Player 1. That's how Metroid and Zelda 1 work at least.

I could be mistaken but you might have to hit start in Zelda II first, just like in Zelda one.

Before you switch to controller 2 make sure to press start.

Edit: It looks as though it gives you a "death" anyway if you were going for 000...
