Please Note: These are not my pictures, and not my video as well. These pictures were taken from the Streetpass NYC Facebook Group to share with you all here on the forums. The video was by Sylverstone14 feel free to subscribe to his videos if you like what you see.

This is what can happen with the power of street pass and when lots of people get together to have a good time! :)

There was Starfox Trivia and prizes were given away were I *think* a game, a 3ds case and something else I forgot. Also for the Starfox 64 3DS tournament and Starfox Command tournament, 2 Smartbomb plush pillows were given away, they were hand made by the person who runs StreetPass NYC she did a very nice job making the pillows they came out very well.

Also! Gary & Allison from Nintendo Week stopped by, and some video footage was shot and interviews as well!

It was great fun, About 50+ people showed up easily. I got about 46 Street Pass tags that day. It's very fun whoever is in the NY/NJ area should come out to StreetPass NYC events it's very fun :)

Being on GFAQs and calling others nerds is kinda ironic tbqh lol. Also, if you're in college or out of it, the term nerd stop having any meaning whatsoever

You know? I'd love it if someone could answer why people...not just guys, but girls too who play video games/read a lot/collect something/ etc are tagged nerds, but its perfectly allright for other groups of people to attend quilting shows, boutiques, and other gatherings where they collect things/make something/etc. I attended such an event last week with my gf and her mother who just went nuts over the quilting bonanza, the christmas and halloween craft section and the other assorted things going on.

Are those things considered socially acceptable, but a Starfox (or whatever fandom) event is tacky?

Well in my experience those people also are identified (or self-identify) as nerds of that genre. In your example someone might call themself a "total quilting nerd". It does carry a very different connotation than video games though, I believe mostly because video games are newer and have been ingrained with the IDEA of "nerds" since the beginning when computers were first being made.

Nothing wrong with being a nerd though :D As long as it doesn't interfere with normal activities of daily living of course.

Those all sound tacky tbh. But that has to be some of the most unattracitve people I've ever seen. I mean, I can count on one hand the amount of people that look normal in that first group pic. I'm not one to jump down somebody's throat for not being movie star hot, but sweet jesus the guy on the right on one knee is beyond hideous.
