No need to fear a redesign in the next few months?

Not likely. If it was happening this year, we would have just heard about it.

No, no redesigns in two months. See, Nintendo wants to sell tons of 3DS systems on holidays. Do you think they'll announce a redesign in two months? They didn't even mention that circle pad attachment.

I'd say, buy one if you like the games released/announced so far.

Play games, not systems. There are people who like games that you don't, grow up.

Safe to buy one, yes.

But I would hold off until TGS is over and the big Pokemon announcement is done, just one more week isn't long to wait to have a clearer idea of what the 3DS' future holds game wise.

Yes.

It's even safer if you live in Japan apparently.

It's not safe to buy one unless you want to have to use a retarded attachment to play future 3DS games. Just wait and buy the new revision that will have it built in. Will it kill you to get all the initial great games cheaper by waiting for the better system.

Remember the early buys will be embarrassed in 2 years saying how "that it doesn't matter because games play without it." While complaining about how the loose attachment falls off and how hard monster hunter is.
