Besides the PS2, all of those were released near the holiday season.

The Playstation 2 was released in October and November for Western Markets. I think that qualifies as Holiday.

Holiday season is generally considered to start in late November, and the PS2 was released in Japan and Asia in March.

Generally considered by whom? You'll see holiday stuff in October. Black Friday does not designate the start of the holiday season.

Also these "holidays" are western traditions more than Asian. So it doesn't matter.

Also, Christmas presents are exchanged in Japan, and video game hardware and software sales there experience noticeable uptick during November and December.
