Apparently, Nintendo rushed out Starfox 64 3D for a quick cash in, and because they focused on graphics.

Adding online would add 'vast costs'. Ofcourse we all know only high budget games, like Farmville and Minecraft, have room for the technological marvel which is called online multiplayer.

Why update the multiplayer at all then? I don't get why they'd do that face photo thing if you're just going to be sitting across from your opponent anyway.

It seems that Nintendo slap the 3DS version with a higher quality sound font. They could have re-do some of the music to be energetic and have some more music here and there. Though It's anything better than the Zelda OOT 3DS port.

Adding an online function does cost money. They obviously learned their lesson from Command.

Why are you always jumping to defend Nintendo? This is a very legit reason to bash them.

Lol, except Minecraft doesn't even have servers. You have to set up your own, which costs Mojang NO money at all.
Do some research first, TC.

Well they could simply use another online servers from Gamespy. Or the reason why don't want to use dedicated servers is because Nintendo is cheap and only invest online in bigger better games?

I wonder if the reason why they did not add online is because they had doubys the game would sell well? And if so, did they create a self-fulfilling prophecy?

online woulda elayed the game even more, then butthurt fans would complain about it being delayed. after mario kart 7 i guess 1st party games forward will have online where its needed just like mario kart ds. if anything maybe they could make a patch or DLC since they will finally allow DLC for their games at the end of the year.
