Complete franchises

#1IconFTPPosted 9/26/2011 8:28:10 AM
I recently beat every zelda game and wanted to do the same thing for the mario, donkey kong, and metriod series. For the zelda series i excluded the cdi games and 4swords,but i did include 4 swords adventure. My question is what would be the official games i would need to beat in these other franchises? Would i need to include games like mario rpg? Or the gb donkey kong games? Im not really good at understanding if those were ports, remakes, or new games all together.

Tghanks for any help.

You can't exclude a few games from a franchise and claim to have beaten the entire franchise. Though it's understandable why you left out the CD-i games.

You are not a true franchise completer if you can't finish the Cd-i. For this I say goodday to you sir.

Mario: SMB > SMB2(JP)/Lost Levels > SMB3 >SMW >SM64 >SMS > NSMB >SMG > NSMBWii >SMG2

You can skip that "other" Mario 2 *coughDokiDokiPanic*

Donkey Kong: DK > DKJr. > DK3 > DK94 > DKC > DKC2 >DKC3 >DK64 > DKJB? >DKCR

Metroid: M > MII >SM > MF > MP > MP2 > MH > MP3> M: OtherM

I'm sorry sir, but that just lost you all credibility. In addition to missing a bunch of games.

You forgot Donkey Kong Land 1-3. They are entirely different games from Donkey Kong Country 1-3. Those would go in with the DKC games on the time line.

There's way too many Mario games to count for a complete franchise. You may want to divide it up into groups like the main games, the RPGs, the kart games, the party games, the Yoshi games, the sports games, the list goes on.

As for Donkey Kong:

DKC, DKC2, DKC3, DKL, DKL2, DKL3, DK64, DKCR.

Now I left out the arcade games and the Konga games if you just want the platformers. I think you could also say Diddy Kong Racing is one of them if you want.

Metroid:

Metroid, Metroid 2, Super Metroid, Fusion, Prime, Prime 2, Prime 3, Prime Hunters, Other M.

Isn't the donkey konga wiimake a platformer just like the dkc games?

And I only wanted the main mario platformer games.

Couldn't you say yoshi is his own franchise now?

What about kirby?
