It sounds like you just suck at Mega Man. It's not a game that's suited for beginners.

I'd say it's worth the cost. It's probably not as worth $4 as some of the other options you have, most notably Super Mario Land 2 which arrived this past week. It's very short at only six stages. (The fifth has five bosses, though.) It's pretty tough too-- you have no charge shot, no slide, no E-Tanks and very little room to move around and dodge bosses. It was a good time, though. And the music is pretty nice.
If you're a fan of MegaMan, I'd strongly suggest getting it. Hopefully if this title sells well enough, they'll start bringing the other MegaMan Gameboy titles to the VC as well. In fact, given the current state of things (or the fans' perception of the current state of things), it might be a good idea to buy it just to show Capcom that people want to buy MegaMan games in general.
