Is there a way to keep the top screen from moving during vigorous gameplay? Like I'm constantly using the L button in Dead or Alive and sometimes my left index (which is used to push the L button) pushes the top screen down. Then I have to push it back up.

I can imagine that happening for games that involve shaking the gyroscope as well....

Sure: pinch the screen between your index and middle finger on both sides. Use your middle fingers to push L and R. Comfort level and reaction time will take a nosedive but the screen will not move!

Hmm....sounds like your screen maybe a bit loose. I personally have the newbiegaming battery extender; it essentially adds a small jutting to the back of the 3DS, preventing the screen from moving backwards when reclined.
