..hey people,

I bought my 3DS awhile back and for the FIRST time ever, i decided to take out my 3DS to streetpass, earn coins and well, play on-the-go.

i come home and i wish to clean it and never take it out of its case when i'm out the house lol cuz i want to keep it pristine clean for a LONG time (this is mainly the same way for all my systems and tech-stuff other than cellphones and ipod).

Is it safe to clean it with a alcohol wipes? i'm scared it might get destroyed :(

No, do NOT use alcohol wipes.

Instead, use an eyeglass cloth.

^This, TC. For heaven's sake, never, ever use rubbing alcohol to clean any electronics! I just quoted the above poster to drive home this very important point :)

I've used them on several occasions with no ill effects. I usually wipe it down with a microfiber cloth before the alcohol dries up though.

No idea about Alcohol, but I use Disinfectant wipes on my 3DS and Droid 2 all the time, and they both work perfectly fine and are always shiny. :)

You can use alcohol (especially on the system's surface as it gives it a streak-free shine). But in the screen you will have to buff them with a microfiber cloth (or equivalent).
