Will the revision have an "HD" slider?

It could easily fit on the opposite side of the 3D slider.

I dunno. The slider on my 3ds looks pretty good as it is, might already be HD. Stare at it, looks nice right?

I would, the HD keeps giving me headaches.

Wouldn't it be a HD switch not a slider? Since well... there is no such thing as 50% HD.

HD's a gimmick, it doesn't add anything to the game

There needs to be a slider that adds olde-film-esque subtitles at the bottom.

Wrongo. Half HD is 272p. Didn't you know that 544p is now considered HD?

No it isn't. If you define HD as 720p, then 50% of that is not 360p. 50% of 720p (1280 x 720) would be approximately 906 x 510 (510p): 50% of the pixels (921600 vs. 461720).
