So, if Yoshi was an NES game, that means he was around before the SNES? But I thought Super Mario World was the first game Yoshi was in, then followed by Yoshi's Island. It's not a big deal, but it's just something that was bugging me earlier today. Thanks in advance.

Not too sure. Check the dates on both SMW and Yoshi. The SNES came out in 1991 and the NES kept producing games up until 1993 when they ended the production cycle with Wario's Woods.
So essentially there's up to a two year gap in which the lifespans of both systems overlap where SMW could have came out earlier than Yoshi. --- "I never half-step cause I'm not a half-stepper, drink a lotta soda so they call me Dr. Pepper." - Phife Dawg

Super Mario World came out November 21st,1990. Yoshi came out December 14th, 1991.
Eh, the more you know.
