Sorry to be an ass, I apologize, if I read it wrong but that was Nintendo of Japans president fault for what became of the Virtual Boy, he wouldnt listen to Yokoi, Yokoi told the ass of a president that it was in prototype phase but did the bastard listen, no, he released it and when it failed, he punished Yokoi instead of admitting it was his fault, he blamed Yokoi.

As I have said already, I apologize, if i read your message wrong.

Yokoi is what made Nintendo into what it is aswell as Miyomoto, if it were not for Yokoi, Nintendo and Miyomoto would not be the success, they are now, they would be dead and buried, if it were not for Yokoi and also he created the Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance, it was complete back in 1997 but Nintendo waited till 2001 to release it, Yokoi died in 1997.

Yokoi would be very happy to see how his handheld creation evolved into what it is today, even though he didnt create the DS and 3DS, he paved the way to the future for Nintendo and handhelds.

Although your post was fairly accurate, you're grossly underestimating the talent at Nintendo. You can say their handhelds might not've done as well, but to say Nintendo as a whole, and the people within are nothing, and would've been dead and buried, is plain ignorant. Miyamoto proved well before Yokoi he was capable. Yokoi may have done great things, but one man a company isn't. They were around and kicking way before he joined.

I don't like the DS Line as much as I liked earlier gameboys.

I don't think gunpei would be a big fan either, I think he wouldn't like all the gimmicks that have been thrown into it such as 3D/Dual screen/touch screen/accelerometer.

He strikes me as the kind of person who goes "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" and would have preferred sticking to the previous formula.

....Wasn't he responsible for the virtual boy? The hugest clumsiest gimmick of them all? I don't think he would against the new gimmicks at all...
