Skylanders is really good, and the starter pack is pretty cheap now (look at Best Buy)

Rayman Origins as amazing though I've heard the 3DS version isn't as good as the PS3 version which is what I played.

Super Mario 3D Land is the only current or upcoming platformer I'd recommend. At all. It's also a very, very good game.

In general, this generation has sucked for platformers. The Wii has a few. The PS3 has a bunch... that are almost all ports of PS2 games. If you have a Wii, get Donkey Kong and Mario Galaxy.
