Because an unnamed source, who probably works for Future, is totally reliable. Even if this is true, the main reason why Nintendo wouldn't want anything to do with it is because Future ruined it. So no matter how you slice it, it's still Future's fault.

And no matter how you slice it, why does anyone care about a s***ty magazine dying anyway? People are going around saying it's the end of an era and that they're deeply saddened? Do you guys get this emotional when you flush the toilet, too? "Oh no, the end of an era, I'm deeply saddened to see that tasty meal go even though it's now nothing more than a lump of s***." Please.

Because not everyone thought it was s***ty, you arrogant moron. I've been getting Nintendo Power both before and after it moved to Future, and I don't get what everyone is complaining about. I thought it was great. Different, but still great.

I don't see any reason to not believe that quote. Future said Nintendo didn't want to renew the contract. How is that Future's fault? Either blame Nintendo or the rise of online media.

I agree. While when Future took over the magazine changed it was still a great magazine and I have been reading them since the late 90's.

As for Nintendo not renewing the Contract I could totally see that happening as Nintendo has been making a lot of dumb moves like that recently.

I still have some of my old Nintendo Power VHS's that had N64 promos on them. Good times.

GameFAQs isn't going to be merged in with GameSpot or any other site. We're not going to strip out the soul of the site.

I am subscribed to two magazines, and this one of them. I found this because I wanted a Pokemon XD strategy guide, and have loved reading it ever since. The other one is Gameinformer, but that only tells me about the games that I don't care about. Nintendo Power I really loved to read, Gameinformer I have for discounts at Gamestop. Sure, the internet exists now, but nothing beats opening up Nintendo Power to information on the next game to your favorite Nintendo series.

Rest in Peace, Nintendo Power. You'll always have the Power.
