The music is fully orchestrated!

*Hype level increases*

Now listen to this glorious tune!

That really is an excellent battle theme. Sounds like something from a 1990s Gundam anime

The labyrinth themes in this game are great too. Love the dungeon music for Etrian Odyssey and 7th Dragon, all praise Koshiro etc

No one was doubting it being localized, we just wanted to know when it would be.

For those unfamiliar, a few of the notable features:

You create characters from a list of classes (you can take 5 characters with you, but there are more classes, and you can create more then 5 and switch who you're taking.) When you level up you distribute skill points to a variety of skills depending on class, both passives and abilities you select in battle that cost mp.

It is turn based, both in moving around and in battles. There are both monsters that automatically attack you in random battles every time you take so many steps, and monsters that you can see wandering the dungeon that you only fight if you walk into them. The second type of enemies, called FOEs, are often far too powerful for you to defeat when you first reach the area where they can be found, and you must take care to avoid them (though they are not invincible, and you can come back and kill them when you've gained more levels).

Lastly, one of the most distinctive features is that the bottom screen contains a tool for drawing a map, which you must make yourself rather than the game filling it in for you.

Very heavy on grinding

You only need to grind if you screw up your build. Choose the right skills, you have more than enough exp by just mapping out the floors.

"You only need to grind if you screw up your build."

Or unless you want butterflies and moles to forever be your tormentors.

1) In EO there was a free heal once a day spring area on Floor 1 to save on money.
2) In EO3 there is a trick where once the first sea quest is open you can just fight that again to heal. You need to be able to actually beat it first. Well kind of works if you fail, just not the way you think.
3) Most people make a full party of "gathers"/farmers to mine, gather, and chop search point for cash. These are left in the gild with that skill that gain exp out of you party. (Gather is not a class, Survivalist are usually used for this in the first 2. They are just a party of characters specializing in those skills.)
4) Put points in to healing first. In the first game rest & relax on a Troubadour is a particular potent strategy. Prince/Princess has similar effect in EO3, due to step heal.
5) Your on your own in EO2, why they removed the usefulness of Troubadours and killed FOE exp, I don't know. Probably think of something to help you out, on your own.

Some good points, AkaneJones- 1 and 3 are much more similar to each other than 2 is.

I never actually played 2, I skipped it because it seemed like more of an expansion pack to 1 than something new

3 is wonderful though. What new features are specific to 4 exactly, besides the balloon?
