^ Fail troll is fail. Find someone else to whine that immature drivel to kid.

Anyway, it leads me to wonder - what other pieces of future software (given NSMB 2) will Nintendo slack on yet again to feed the masses' lack of standards? I mean, a product like NSMB 2 getting ONE person to praise it is already enough to set that tone.

A port.

^ ....or a remake? After all with all the whining and bs about the 3DS selling faster than the DS (because people ignorantly don't take into account the fanbase increasing with more and more of children, and the times since the days of the DS), yet the 3DS has yet to sell as much as the DS, let alone have a developed library (almost two years now) like the DS does. Why? Because of those two things - ports and remakes.

It is becoming the renaissance system of gimmicks and ports and remakes more than ORIGINAL and fresh software. The Vita is undeniably doing incredibly dire for a similar reason, yet the 3DS is in the same boat considering most of its library is of ports and remakes. So why isn't it doing as poor?

It's already outsold the DS by this point in it's life and has a well established library.

Remakes aren't the laziest creation as work is put into a remake then it into put effort into a port. On top of that this system has like 2 remakes, and a few ports which if you actually know your gaming, pretty much all system have their share of ports and really if it's a good game a port does no real harm to a system.

Hell I really don't even think there are that many ports , excluding VC since those those count I can only think of a few games that are ports.

Eh?

Star Fox 64 3D
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Rayman 3D
Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D
Tales of the Abyss
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D
BIT.TRIP SAGA
Cave Story 3D
Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions (let's be honest, with how little they put into the new games, there's no way that they weren't just trying to make a mediocre classic collection of games).
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift

Yeah I consider that a few, you can sort of count them on one hand, almost but honestly it's not a lot of ports, and hell some of them do add stuff.

Yes, you can count those games on one hand - games that dominated the early release cycle for the 3DS.

For the longest time, the biggest games were SMT, OoT, Star Fox, and Street Fighter. It wasn't until nearly one year later that we actually started to get quality, original games.

I didn't even count Nintendogs + Cats or Pilotwings Resort, which over-utilize recycled content.
