Hey, got a question about 3DS SD cards. Best Buy is having a sale on em, and I can get a standard 64 GB SD card for $50, and I'm thinking of getting one for my 3DS. Do 3DS need special SD cards or would that one work? I heard there was problems with deletions with higher GB cards. Thank you for any info.

Technically a 32GB SDHC card is the best you can get. However I've read online that higher capacity cards formatted to fat32 will work. I don't know if there's any problems with cards bigger than 32GBs though my card is only a 32GB.

Thanks. Hopefully it'll work ok!

Actually is getting a 32 GB SD Card better than getting a 64 GB one? and what's the best brand to get?

You can use 128GB SDXC cards if you're willing to reformat them to FAT32.

No. While you miss out on some features making a 64 GB SD card compatible to the 3DS, those features would be unavailable anyway.

Basically anything the SDXC spec has over SDHC - mostly, faster read/write times that may not work with SDHC card readers, and exFAT formatting. Any SDXC card (64GB+) is backwards-compatible with the SDHC spec if formatted to FAT32.

You can get a 64 or 128 GB SD card as long as you format it to FAT32.
32 is the highest "naturally" supported SD card.
And as for brand, Transcend or SanDisk are good.
What class is the 64 GB card anyways?Because you might be able to get a better deal on Amazon.
