Either way, I don't mind random encounters, but I did love the system in IX, made metal slime hunting so much easier.

I didn't even know DQVII was officially announced for the 3DS. I was displaced due to the hurricane, when was this announced!? It looks incredible! This is the only DQ I haven't played, Oh gosh I want this soooooooo much right now! Now excuse me while I explode from happiness. :-)

I did expect dqviii like graphics though, but considering the amount if content the game offers, it's ok I guess, it looks like dqix engine but a little improved except for the dungeons.
