I bought an import game without doing any research because im clearly a naruto fan... is what I heard and saw.

Some people are just stupid.

or perhaps they realized that the game will never be localized (a la Namco X Capcom) and thus decided to get the game through import....

after buying the usa 3ds months earlier.... (at least months earlier)

Yes,because region locking is so important,right? Only a minority of people even import games to begin with.
